>> INTRODUCING FUFFR
multi-touch, multi-surface user input device for mobile devices.
At the stkhlm.js developer meet-up yesterday (Monday, 26 May) fuffr presented
their new input device that is a cover for existing iOS devices that allows
for interaction with the device without obscuring or messing up the display
of the device with your grubby mits.
While currently in the final stages of development the device opens up a
number of interesting possibilities for user interaction. It is simply a
case with numerous infrared sensors that detect movement and transmit
information using BlueTooth low-energy (BLE). The developer has full
flexibility as to which regions can be active for input to optimize power
efficiency and maximize usage.
fuffr is also offering one-thousand (1000) developers the opportunity to
get their hands on a developer kit to get the ball rolling with applications
that utilize the technology prior to launch - simply request a personal
invite at their developer page.
